I didn’t receive an email notification today. Why?

Most likely there were no updates to the zip code area(s) you are subscribed to. You will only receive an email if an offender’s address has been updated for a zip code area(s) you are subscribed to and only Tuesday – Saturday. Contact dojsvor@mt.gov if you suspect a problem with the service.

When are Registrant addresses in the MT SVOR updated?

Offender addresses are recorded in the MT SVOR Registry for a variety of reasons:

  • SVOR receives the required Address Verification Letter (AVL) from a Registrant as required by law.
  • Law enforcement or the Montana Department of Corrections notifies SVOR of an address change.
  • SVOR has been notified an address is in error and SVOR corrects the addresses as indicated by law enforcement.

When will I get an email notification when an offender’s address changes?

The Email notification will occur the next business day following posting of the recorded address to the public SVOR website (https://app.doj.mt.gov/apps/svow/ ).

When I click on the Offender link in the email, I get an error. Why?

The SVOR data is updated daily, and offender information may change. The data contained in the email is good for the ‘Notification Date’ contained in the email. It is possible that the status of the offender has changed and is no longer available on the website. Contact dojsvor@mt.gov if you suspect a problem with the service.
